Abstract for School Variables and Academic Performance of Pupils In Abak L.G.A

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of school variables on academic performance of pupils in agricultural science among primary schools in Abak local government area. Three (3) research questions and three (3) hypothesis were formulated for the findings of the study. The study adopted a survey, research design. The study made use of simple random sampling techniques to select a total of 180 pupils for the findings of the study. The instrument used for data collection was structured questionnaires. The data collected were analyzed using Pearson product moment correlation method, and the result showed that all the calculated r-value were greater than the critical r-value. This resulted in the rejection of the null hypothesis 1-3 which implies that there is a significant relationship between school variables and academic performance of pupils in agricultural science. Some recommendations were made that Government should provide adequate material resources to schools to enable teaching and learning processes.
